From Thursday, October 22 through Monday, November 2 (with a concluding "Post Mortem Party" on Friday, November 13) the Culture Shock Community Project is celebrating 13 Nights of Halloween!

This project is generously sponsored by Corrosive Comics Studio, who helped craft our mascots & one-of-a-kind comic/schedule of events that can be found at various locations throughout Salem. Look for it!

Post Mortem: The 13th Night

Friday the 13th is here! ...that means it’s the big day for you to turn in your Toe Tags to enter our raffle for fun and prizes, to commemorate our Post Mortem conclusion to the 13 Nights of Halloween.

We will be picking 13 winners who will win gift certificates and goods from a variety of local businesses (many from those listed below). 13 WINNERS! And the only thing you have to do to enter is to fill out your toe-tags and drop them off.

We are invite all UNDEAD Salemites to join us for our Capital Zombie Walk. At 6pm, show up on the Capital steps in your own creative zombie gear-up. Shortly thereafter, we will crawl our way through Downtown Salem (eating brains along the way of course) to end up at Browns Towne Lounge to have a Zombie Jamboree, with live music and Halloween artwork!

The event is free and open to all (Browns Towne itself is 21+ however).

Hey families!! Come on over to the WAC and carve your Porch Masterpieces with Jeanine. Learn fancy tricks or treat yourself to a fun afternoon with other Halloween maniacs!

This is a free walk-in event, co-sponsored by the Willamette Art Center and the Culture Shock Community Project. We'll have tools to carve and clean your pumpkin, stencils and other goodies to help you with your design, and some useful tips for preserving and lighting your Jack-o-lantern for maximum effect!

What To Bring

We'll have everything you need to create a basic pumpkin, but if you have any of these (or you just don't want to have to wait your turn to use the tools!), feel free to bring along:

* Your favorite pumpkin
* Regular pumpkin carving tools if you have them
* Potato peeler
* Small flashlight
* Can of Lysol or similar antiseptic spray
* Vaseline (?)(!! No joke!)

It's the day after Halloween. Sure, that pumpkin was cute when you first carved it, but now it sits there, smug, rotting on the front porch. Frankly, it's time to wipe that pumpkins silly grin off it's face.

Grab your pumpkin, and perhaps an implement of destruction (nothing sharp please!), come out to FORDYCE FARMS and put it to its death in our PUMPKIN KILL. Fun for all ages. You get to destroy a pumpkin, and they get to use the innards as mulch for the next years crop.

We call that win/win. There may be some extra pumpkins (and some extra destruction implements) for fun and furvor!
